I enjoyed following the links in this "thing" and did create a Google Map. This summer my family is traveling by car to Beaverton, Oregon for my nephews wedding so I mapped that trip out and that was really fun to create. Google Maps & Mashups would be a great resource tool for many classes coming into the library. One example would be Physical Earth. Students could really use Google Maps to create several projects.
The Simile Timeline mashup was fascinating and could just have so much information on hundreds of research topics! Students and teachers could both benefit from using this mashup. I explored some of the timelines and it was really fun and interesting. I will have to share this information with teachers here at school.
There were several mashups that I enjoyed searching but I spent several hours here and so I better move on!!! I seem to be doing a lot of that!! I get lost in each "thing" and before I know it, way too much time has past and I realize I better just work on the "thing" and finish so I can move on!!!
